Hi, I'm Mark Kelly, welcome to Life In Print Photo Books, a business created out of a desire to capture moments from the lives of family and friends and to transform them into a life in print.
In this busy world we live in, with 24/7 digital technology at our fingertips, we all have thousands of photos sitting idly on our computers or stuffed in shoe boxes in the linen closet. We post photos on Flickr, Picasa, Webshots, Facebook and Twitpic or sometimes we get them developed, they get looked at and then forgotten.
My first photo book was made at the beginning of 2007 just after a trip to Europe through Italy, Germany, France and finishing in London. I had a thousand photos from the trip and after downloading them, thought, what next? So I made a photo book and it is something I still look at, 3 years later.
I have since made a dozen books for family and friends and decided to make this a full time business, combining my love of photography and designing photo books with a passion for customer service. Everyone has a story to tell and I want to help people tell their story.
I have used several photo book software programmes, both online and computer based. For my business I use an Apple iMac G5 Intel Core 2 Duo processor with various software and photo book design applications. My main supplier is Momento Pro, where I have access to a range of book styles, covers, paper stock and sizes not available to the general public. I also use Blurb, Aperture 2 and iPhoto.
My objective is simple, I bring your forgotten and unseen photos to life in a beautiful coffee table book that will be treasured for many years to come.
